This month is the 25th anniversary of the National Center on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence’s Alcohol Awareness Month and this year’s theme is “One Too Many…” The goal of this “open ended” theme is to highlight the pervasive impact alcohol has on individuals, families, children, the workplace and communities.
Jim Christianson, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor with Capstone Behavioral Healthcare in Knoxville, says there are endless consequences of drinking from legal issues, health issues and possibly hurting someone else in the process. He says just one drink alters the way we look at things and poses potential problems.
Capstone offers a variety of counseling, prevention and awareness services. For more information CLICK HERE .
