The Knoxville City Council met in regular session last night.  At the meeting the council approved a bid for $340,046 from TK Concrete for the 2011 City paving contract and another for $128,681 for the 2011 sidewalk project.  The council also approved the final consideration of changes to the sanitary sewer user rate, advised staff to move forward with plans for improvements on the Recreation Center grounds, approved a motion to seek bids for City Hall boiler replacement, voted to perform quarterly elevator maintenance checks instead of monthly and advised Mayor Don Zoutte to appoint a naming committee to rename Newbold Drive due to E 911 issues for Weiler’s current address.
