A Knoxville native who spent her Christmas break making and collecting knitted, crocheted and purchased hats, mittens and scarves for those in need has been recognized for her hard work. Drake University student Meredith Job created Drake Knit for the Needy this past winter to help keep the homeless youth in Iowa warm. As a result, Job was selected as the winner of the Drake Community Service Award. She was one of approximately 20 other students nominated who worked on projects to help make a positive difference in their communities.
