Most Iowans are worried about the future of Iowa’s budget and many have concerns about funding for education. Senator Paul McKinley says he feels our teachers should take a pay freeze to help decrease the number of layoffs. McKinley says nearly all Iowa teachers will get a $5,000 pay raise this year and if they were willing to sacrifice that increase, it could help fund education and prevent several teacher layoffs.
