The first draft of a new congressional district map has recieved mixed reveiws from party leaders in Marion county. Irene Blom, chair of the county Replublican’s says she’s disappointed with the way the county was split up . She says with Pella isolated from the rest of the county, committee work will be more difficult, but she adds that this is only the first proposal. Blom says the organization will continue its hard work regardless of how the final maps turn out.
