With Tulip Time just over a month away, outdoor preparations have begun in earnest for the annual festival. At the Vermeer Windmill that means some new flowerpots and landscaping. Bonnie Verburg, Director of Historical Society says two 5-foot diameter planters will be installed outside the windmill. She says they’ve tried for several years to plant flowers outside the mill, but with little luck. Josh Vermeer with the Pella Nursery says the work should be done next week. The new flower pots will be filled with more than 100 tulips. The flower pots were bought with a gift from the Pella Garden Club.
