A large number of vehicle break-ins have been reported in Knoxville in recent weeks and unfortunately Police Chief Dan Losada says he’s not surprised. He says every spring there is an increased amount of vandalism and theft as more people are out and about since the weather has warmed up. Losada encourages all residents to lock their doors, roll up the windows and not leave anything valuable inside their vehicles, especially overnight. Those who fall victim to theft or damaged property are asked to call the Knoxville Police Department at 828-0541.
