Pella Led three Marion County girls golf teams at the Oskaloosa Invitational yesterday. The Lady Dutch shot a 404 in the 18-hole tournament to place third. Kelsey Van Tasell carded a 93; tying her with two other golfers for the top place overall. She would eventually finish tied for runner-up honors after a playoff hole.
Pella Christian was sixth with a 460; led by Meredith Fopma’s 97. Knoxville was eighth with a 579, as Morgan Roy led the Panthers with a 111.
Knoxville Coach Kyle Kincaid says he is still pleased with the progress is team is making. He notes small wins like individuals lowering their round by a couple of strokes are being emphasized this season.
