Pella Schools Superintendent Mark Wittmer says taxpayers can expect a slight increase in property taxes this year to help with school funding. He says because of proposed zero-percent allowable growth from the state and increasing deficits in the special education budget, the Board will levy a 24-cent increase from $13.99 to $14.23 per 1,000.
