The final day of Severe Weather Awareness Week focuses on family preparedness. Marion County Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Anderson says the best thing residents can do is be prepared for the worst. FEMA urges all households to put together a disaster supplies kit of basic items that members of the household may need in the event of a disaster. Anderson says these kits should include a variety of materials such as flashlights, medications, food, water and first aid supplies.
