Unusually high temperatures, a good amount of sunshine and some rain in recent weeks has turned grass back to green and caused it to grow quickly, though residents are encouraged to not cut grass too short. Dale Miller, Program Director at the Marion County ISU Extension Office recommends cutting grass to a length of between two and two and a half inches. He says this will help thicken up the grass and even it out as there are likely uneven spots this time of year.
