Unemployment numbers for the month of March have been released.

State-wide, the rate rose slightly from 6 percent in February to 6.1 percent in March. That trend followed to Marion County where the rate increased from 7.5 percent to 7.7.

Those numbers come from a total workforce of 16,960. Nationally, the unemployment rate in March inched down from 8.9 percent to 8.8.
