Several of Pella’s Union Street Players were recognized at the annual Iowa Community Theatre Association’s festival last week in Newton. Jonathan Gregg and Mark Moreland were given awards for excellence in character acting. Jane DeZwarte was given an award of excellence for her portrayal of Miss Hannigan in December’s production of “Annie”. The Union Street Players were at the festival to perform a showcase set, a production of the “Vinatage Hitchcock” radio play.
