High winds made it a little less noticable, but Sunday saw a record high temperature in the area. The National Weather Service reported an official high temperature of 87 degrees in the Pella-Knoxville area. The previous record of 82 degrees stood for 30 years, since 1981. The National Weather Service also reported pea-sized hail and light rain along with those high winds.
