Central College has announced their fall community read project. This year’s selection is “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks” by Rebecca Skloot. The book chronicles the story of how Lacks, who died of cervical cancer in 1951, lives on through research based on her tumor cells. In September, medical writer Harriet Washington will visit Central College for a convocation and Writers Reading event.
