For the second straight week, Central College’s Ethan Miller and the Dutch men’s 4×100 meter relay team have captured the Iowa Conference’s outdoor track and field athlete of the week honors. Miller was recognized in the field events after matching his career best in the high jump at the Monmouth Invitational, along with a victory in the long jump. Both were NCAA Division III provisional-qualifying performances.
A season-best time of 41.48 seconds for the Central men’s 4×100 meter relay team of Trevor Veach, Mitch Wagoner, Kyle Wood and Allen Scovel at the same meet earned the group track athlete honors for the second week as well. The provisional-qualifying time ranks eighth in the nation.
The Central College men’s track and field team has been named the best in the Iowa Conference in either track or field events for six weeks in a row.
