A member of the Central College softball team has been selected to the Capital One Academic All-District Softball Team.  First baseman Katie Tenboer was selected as a third-team pick in District VII and selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.  
Tenboer carries a 3.59 cumulative grade point average as an art major.  On the diamond this season, she leads the No. 5-ranked Dutch with a .420 batting average, seven home runs and a school record 43 RBIs.  
Tenboer and Central will face Benedictine out of Illinois on Thursday in the opening round of the NCAA Division III playoffs.
