The Pella girls soccer team continues its stretch of home games against Little Hawkeye Conference foes today, as the Lady Dutch welcome Oskaloosa to the Tulip City. Though they’ve been playing well as of late, Pella Head Coach Sam Mate-Kodjo says there are plenty of areas the team is looking to improve upon.
“We still need to continue not to make mistakes on the defensive end. We still need to move the ball around in the midfield. We still need to continue to create opportunities for our forwards,” said Mate-Kodjo. “We’ve got really good, fast forwards – aggressive, fast forwards – but we still need to work to put the ball at their feet to make them get results for us.”
The Pella girls soccer games with Oskaloosa begin at 5:30 p.m. today in Pella.
