Fifth Graders at Jefferson Intermediate School enjoyed beautiful launch conditions for their annual rocket launch day Tuesday.
The students spend several weeks learning the basics of forces and motion and engineering and use the rockets as a practical application of what they’ve learned in the classroom.
Teachers say this has been an effective way to keep students interested in science, as the students help teach each other to build better rockets.
