Great weather has almost all of the Marion County corn that will be planted in the ground, and much of the soybeans. Dale Miller with the Marion County ISU Extension office estimates as of Monday 95% of corn was planted, above the state estimate of 92%. Miller estimates soybean planting at 55%, while the state is at 47%. With good dry weather this week, he says that we will be done with corn (100%) and soybeans near 90% be the end of the week.
