Jasmin Schelhaas is guaranteed to compete in at least two events on the big blue oval at this year’s State Track Meet, as the Pella Christian speedster earned two gold medals at Thursday night’s Girls Regional Track Meet in Eddyville.  

Schelhaas claimed the top spot in the 400 meter dash, and anchored the winning 4×100 meter relay team – which includes Sarah Faber, Leah Breon and Kate Van Gilst.  The Pella Christian girls have a good shot at landing at least one more relay at the State Meet, as the same foursome of girls also placed second in the 4×200 meter relay.  

The Lady Eagles finished the meet in sixth place in the team standings with 66 points.  Davis County was the Regional Meet champion with 101.
