Led by Hunter Van Veen, the PCM boys golf team was the top squad to advance out of Tuesday’s Sectional Golf Meet in Altoona, edging out Des Moines Christian by one stroke in the team standings.  The Mustangs fired a combined score of 313 to qualify as a team for the District meet.  

Van Veen also qualified as an individual, as his round of 76 tied for the second lowest score of the meet, with tiebreakers landing him in fourth place individually.  The Pella Christian boys golf team also competed at the meet, but did not advance any individuals to the District meet.  

The PCM boys golf team will compete in the District meet on Friday at Cedar Pointe in Boone.
