The Pella Girls Track and Field Squad knew they would have a tough night with Williamsburg and the Lady Dutch were not disappointed only in the fact they fell 15.5 points short of taking home an orange banner signifying a regional track and field champion. The Raiders claimed that prize, however the Lady Dutch locked in nine events to the state meet with individual Regional championships. They were: Nadine VanZomeren in the 400, Sarah Wittenberg in the 800, Marielle Gaiser in the 100 and 400 hurdles. Once again the Lady Dutch dominated the relay events assuring Pella would have six of the seven relay events.

Pella qualified in the shuttle hurdle, four-by-100, 200, 400, 800, and sprint medley. While they did not lock in any events to state, the Knoxville girls as a team finished third overall and may have qualified some events based on time. Amy Turner was second in the 100 and 200, Alissa Van Klooywyk was runner-up in the 3000 and Lydia Anderson ran second in the 800. All who finished second place and lower will now have to wait until all of the meets have been completed and the high school associations post the qualifiers. According to the boys and girls athletic unions, the final qualifier lists will not be released until this afternoon at the earliest.
