A Pella High graduate has received a National Merit Scholarship from the University of Nebraska. Jake Anderson is one of 2,900 students from a pool of more than 15,000 applicants to win the scholarship, which is awarded based on academic achievement, SAT scores, recommendations from school officials and, of course, essays highlighting those points. Anderson plans to study Computer Science next year.
