Lucas Boyd of Pella High School will be among the field of individual qualifiers for the Class 3-A State Golf Meet later this month. Boyd shot even par with a 72 on Friday at the River Valley Golf Course in Adel.

Boyd’s score was the lowest for an individual that was not already on a State-qualifying team. He also narrowly edged out nearby rival and fellow Little Hawkeye Conference standout Mitch Tucker of Oskaloosa, as Tucker shot a 73 on the day.

Lucas Boyd will represent Pella High School in the Class 3-A State Golf Meet next Friday and Saturday at the Ames Golf and Country Club.
