As previously reported by KNIA/KRLS, the Pella Exploring Near Space Club was able to get their experimental balloon off the ground Tuesday morning. The balloons traveld some 50 miles east, and were recovered near Ottumwa. The group is comprised of students from Pella, Pella Christian and some home-schooled students who are conducting various experiments on the effects of temperature and altitude on things like batteries, solar cells and sound.
