Steady rainfall throughout Friday put a much-anticipated rematch between the Central College softball team and Coe College on hold, as the two will resume play today in the NCAA Division III playoffs. Two of Friday’s four scheduled games were played, as Anderson eliminated Fontbonne 6-5, while Wisconsin-Whitewater knocked out Benedictine with a 4-1 win.

Today’s revised schedule will begin with top-ranked Linfield taking on Washington-St. Louis at 10:00 a.m., followed by Coe and Central at noon. The losers of each of those games would play again this afternoon, while the winners will advance on to play again on Sunday.

Live coverage of the Central and Coe softball game will be broadcast on 92.1 fm KRLS and streamed live at with Trevor Castle providing the play-by-play.
