Three of our local girls soccer teams have been paired together in the same region for the upcoming Class 2-A Regional Soccer tournament, which will begin later this month.  The Knoxville, Pella and PCM girls soccer teams will all play out of the Region 5 bracket, with the first rounds taking place in Grinnell and Newton.
The Mustang girls will face Grinnell on May 26th to begin the tournament, with the Lady Panthers opening against Newton on the same day.  The Pella girls have a first round bye and will play the Knoxville/Newton winner in Pella on May 31st.
In Class 1-A, the Pella Christian girls will play out of the Region 4 bracket, starting against CMB.  The Lady Eagles face a loaded bracket that includes Bondurant-Farrar, Gilbert and Nevada – all of which were ranked in the latest poll.
The winner of each region advances to the State Tournament, which will be held June 9th through the 11th in Muscatine.
