Craig Mobley, Business Manager for the Knoxville School district, says the price of diesel fuel is of some concern. The district locks in prices, and currently has a rate of $3.15 per gallon. The district purchases approximately 25,000 gallons a year, so an increase of say, a quarter more per gallon in price would yield an additional cost of $6,500. The district is looking for a new supplier for fuel, and Mobley hopes a similar price can be negotiated.
