Unemployment numbers for the month of April have been released. Statistics from Iowa Workforce Development show the unemployment rate in Marion County dropped significantly, from 7.7% in March down to 6.1% in April. The newest numbers are a reflection of the trend statewide, where the unemployment rate is 6%, down slightly from 6.1% in March.
