Work on east Main street in Knoxville between 4th and 7th street needed as a result of a sewer line break on May 4 has now been completed, and the street is now open to the public. Knoxville Public Works Director Jeff May tells KNIA KRLS that final costs for the project are still being determined, as it involved emergency work and the discovery of needed maintenance on an adjacent service. Local merchants impacted by the closure tell KNIA/KRLS that they thank their customers for their patience and continued patronage.
