The IRS has released a list of non-profit organizations that are no longer tax exempt. Some three-thousand Iowa organizations made the list, including ten in Pella. They are:

Tulip City Golden Agers
National Association of Letter Carriers
Money and Politics Iowa
Mid Iowa Camaro Club
Iowa Institute
Christian Mission of Pigna-Pella
Prepare the Way Incorporated
Volunteer Employee Beneficiaries

An organization loses its tax exempt status after failing to file proper paperwork for three consecutive years. Christopher Miller with the IRS says the agency does have a program in place to have their tax exempt status restored retroactive to the date it was revoked.
