Ag in the City comes back to Knoxville this weekend. The annual event is used to showcase agriculture to those families that may have grown up away from the farm. Farm Bureau board member Leora Bandstra says that the event is very hands-on. Anyone is welcome to climb into the tractors on site or make soybean smoothies.
KNIA/KRLS’s Aaron Gernes will be on site to be the emcee of the goat milking contest Friday evening, and KNIA/KRLS’s Jamie Brockman be the emcee the mutton bustin’ and skid steer rodeo Saturday morning. There will also be a pedal pull, pony rides, sheep sheering, and other family activities. The event runs Friday from 5pm to 9pm and Saturday from 7am to 1pm at the Marion County Fairgrounds.
