Construction at Lely has been slowed somewhat by recent inclement weather, but is still on schedule for an October 1st opening. Chad Huyser, Director of Sales and Operations tells KNIA/KRLS News the general contractors on the project are hoping for a few days of nice weather to get caught up.
The construction is going on in the northeast portion of the Vermeer Complex. He says they’ve begun the hiring process which includes plans for 35 employees by the end of the year, 22 of which would be located in Pella.
Based in Holland, The Lely company specializes in the manufacture of dairy implements like automatic milkers and feeders.
