The cleanup from Sunday night’s storms continues. Marion County Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Anderson adds. that those who have had their property damaged should report the damage to the Emergency Management office at 641-828-2256. The information will be used by Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management as well as FEMA to decide if there should be a request for a Presidential Disaster Declaration. Anderson also says if you bring your storm-related debris to the South Central Iowa Landfill, you should tell the scale operator it is storm-related. This is beneficial in documenting damages and expenses for the area.
