One person was taken to Mercy Hospital via Mercy One helicopter early this morning after a one car accident. At approximately 5:20 this morning, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Columbia Rescue responded to the scene of a single car accident at the 1200 block of Highway G-76. The Sheriff’s Office says that the driver, a minor female, swerved to miss a deer and lost control of her car, entering the ditch and striking an embankment. The accident remains under investigation by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
