A Pella man reportedly reaching for his cell phone accidentally drove his vehicle into lake Red Rock just before midnight last night.
Marion County Chief Deputy Troy Fisher tells KNIA/KRLS News Joe Seekamp was northbound on T15 just south of the Dam when the accident happened.
Seekamp, a non-swimmer, took refuge on the top of his submerged vehicle until Deputy Matt Boender went into the water in waders to rescue him. Seekamp was uninjured and no charges have been filed.
