Marion County Residents and Groups Honored by Governor

Five individuals and four groups in Marion County will receive statewide recognition – the 2011 Governor’s Volunteer Award. Individuals being recognized are Mark Bacus of Bussey, John DeJung of Pella. Jon Hoaglin of Pella, Lisa Kingery of Knoxville, and Tom Renaud of Bussey. Those groups being honored are Another Dam Bike Club of Knoxville, Boy Scouts of America – Troop 377 of Knoxville, Knoxville Hospital and Clinics of Knoxville, and the Lion’s Club of Knoxville. The Governor’s office says they’ve received this award for demonstrating exemplary leadership, creativity, cooperation, and hard work in their service to others.
