In the final of what has been several challenging conference games this week, the Pella Christian softball team is at home tonight to take on Knoxville. Lady Eagles Head Coach Nate Van Wyk says he feels good about the progress his team has made so far this season.
“The girls have really started to raise the bar. They’ve really been working hard,” said Van Wyk. “We like where we’re at right now with our pitching and defense; we like how our offense is coming around – being selective at the plate and attacking balls in the [strike] zone.”
Pella Christian enters the game with a 10-4 record overall and a 5-2 mark in the Little Hawkeye Conference. Knoxville is 5-12 and 2-5 in league play.
