The Pella girls soccer team moved one step closer to a return to the Class 2-A State Soccer Tournament with a 4-0 shutout of Newton in Tuesday night’s Regional Semifinal.  Lindsay Bentzinger and Lexi DeHeer each found the back of the net in the first half, with Allie DeMeulenaere and DeHeer adding two more scores in the second half.  

Assistant Coach Mark Howard said while the defense continues to play great, he was also very impressed with the movement and passing on offense for the Lady Dutch.  The No. 4-ranked Pella girls soccer team is now 13-3 overall and will face ADM/Van Meter on Monday in the Regional Finals.
