Pleasantville’s Thomas To Play For Team USA

Pleasantville Native Chelsea Thomas will be doing some traveling while wearing our nation’s colors this summer. Thomas was one of 18 players selected to the U-S-A national softball team this week. Team U-S-A will begin competition with a two-game exhibition series against the U-S-A Junior Team next Saturday in Plant City, Florida before traveling to Salem, Virginia and Bowie, Maryland for two more exhibition game. After that, Thomas and Team U-S-A will play in the Canadian Open National Fast Pitch Tournament July 9th-17th in Surrey, British Columbia. July 21st-27th, they play in the World Cup of Softball in Oklahoma City. Thomas wraps up her Team U-S-A tour with the Pan Am Games in Guadalajara, Mexico October 17th-23rd. Team U-S-A will be seeking its sixth consecutive gold medal at the Pan Am Games. Thomas just completed one of the most dominate season’s for the University of Missouri leading the tigers to their third straight women’s college World Series appearance.
