Construction continues on the North Main project in Pella. Crews were busy pouring concrete on the first block of Main north of Washington street Thursday. Paving between Washington and Lincoln streets is the first phase of the project.
Following that, sanitary sewer construction will need to be completed between Jefferson and Lincoln Streets.

Additionally, the Public Works Department has issued a road closure on Hazel Street between Washington and Columbus for tree removal. That closure will be in effect from approximately 8:30 Friday morning and Hazel should be reopen by mid morning.
