Ashley Van Kooten cranked out two home runs to lead a potent Pella Christian offense to a 10-4 win over Colfax-Mingo Tuesday night in high school softball.  Van Kooten also had a double as she went 3-for-4 at the plate with 4 RBIs and 2 runs scored.  

The Lady Eagles also got good performances at the plate from Tessa Howerzyl – who was 2-for-2 with a sacrifice and a walk – and Tayler Stursma – who scored twice and had two doubles in a 2-for-4 performance at the plate.  Pitcher Paige Blom picked up the win by scattering five Colfax-Mingo hits and striking out 8 batters.  

The Pella Christian softball team is 7-3 overall and will try and improve upon a 3-1 conference record tonight against Newton.
