Most of the time when a 410 driver at the Knoxville Raceway knows Danny Lasoski is bearing down on him, ”The Dude” usually has the upper hand. However for the second time this season Dusty Zomer stayed cool and outran Lasoski to the line Saturday for his second win of 2011 at Knoxville. Zomer battled his way from the sixth to the lead with four laps to go when leader Wayne Johnson, who was running away from everyone had an oil filer seal failed and dropped out. That left the race to Zomer who beat Lasoski to the line. It could have been disaster for Zomer who ran out of fuel as he crossed the line for the win, and was only eight pounds over the 1400 pound weight limit at the scales. Matt Moro redeemed himself a week after finishing second to win the 360 A-Main. Moro used a late race yellow to claim the lead and ultimately the win. In the 305 Feature, Carson McCarl seems to have inherited the family racing genes as he made a bold pass coming out of turn four on Tasker Phillips with two laps to go to claim his second win of the season and second overall win at Knoxville.
