A total of ten girls from local softball teams have been named to All-District teams in their respective classes by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association. 

Marion County’s Class 1-A schools led the way with six nominations to the South District Team.  They are Pleasantville’s Konnor Gordon and Kaitlyn Friday; Haylie Branson and Lexi Crozier of Melcher-Dallas; and Alee Hugen and Brittney Roby from Twin Cedars. 

In Class 2A, PCM’s Stephanie Hayden, and Paige Blom of Pella Christian were named All-District Softball in the South Central Region; while Pella’s Whitney Williams and Mandy DeMeulenaere earned Central District recognition for Class 3-A. 

Of the ten local athletes named to All-District teams, seven of them were playing in their final seasons for their respective programs as seniors.
