The City of Pella was officially welcomed into the electrical cooperative that will serve the city’s power needs until 2045. Representatives of Missouri River Energy Services were present at the city council meeting last week to address the council and present a membership plaque to city leaders. Pella joins a group of 60 other municipalities who receive their electricity through Missouri River. Pella City Administrator Mike Nardini says membership in the coop will address the longterm power supply needs of the city.
