In addition to all the events at the Marion County Fair, this weekend will also see the first ever Red Rock Balloon Fest. Matt Kissinger with the Red Rock Lake Association says the group was introduced to the idea by Kevin Mart, and they’ve been working since to get the festival off the ground. He says it’s important to find new ways to use Red Rock to draw in tourism dollars Flight competitions will begin at 6 pm Friday with more scheduled for 6 am and 6 pm Saturday and a final flight Sunday morning at 6, along with a night glow Saturday 8:30.
