Class 1A softball begins postseason play tonight around the area. Three teams are in action as Melcher-Dallas hosts Southeast Warren. The Saints are playing a team that has won just two games all season. Pleasantville who is now in 1A will travel to second ranked and unbeaten Martensdale St. Mary’s. The winner get the survivor of the Melcher-Dallas and Southeast Warren affair on Friday. Twin Cedars takes on ninth rated Lynnville-Sully. Should the Sabers get by the Hawks, a trip back to Sully and Moravia or Moulton-Udell await on Friday. All games have scheduled start times of 7:00.
