As they continue to work toward the postseason, the Pella baseball team will open the week with a pair of non-conference games, as they face Washington and Fairfield in the first two days back from the holiday weekend. Little Dutch Head Coach Aaron Reasland says the games are important because of what could happen later on in the postseason.

“It is a big week for us – playing a couple of non-conference games,” says Reasland. “These are teams that we could potentially match up with in other districts later on – down the State Tournament road – so it’s great for us to see some of that type of competition.”

Pella plays the Demons of Washington at home tonight in a JV/Varsity doubleheader, then travels to Fairfield tomorrow night for another JV/Varsity twin bill. In both cases, the Varsity game is set to start around 7:30 p.m. The Pella baseball team is 16-13 overall and 12-8 in conference play.
