The Pella Community School Board spent a considerable amount of time at their meeting this week setting legislative goals for the year.

The Board agreed on five issues on which they’d like to see legislative action. The top priority is setting an allowable growth rate that continues school improvement.

Also on the list were supporting research-based professional development, timely funding for special education, keeping labor and employment laws largely the same and support of pre-school for 3 and 4 year olds.
